As of this writing there is little credible information on the direction of the 2015 Nissan 370Z . The aging current generation Z has been around since 2009 with few changes. It is presumed 2015 or 2016 will deliver a completely redesigned model.
There have been rumors amongst the automotive insiders that we may see a 240Z reboot in the form of a downsized turbo charged 4 cylinder Z. This would put the Z against less expensive sports cars like the Scion FR-S/Subaru BRZ twins. Expect a concept car appearing on the 2014 auto show circuit that will give us a true direction as to what the 2015 Nissan 370z will truly look like. .
The Z will share a chassis with the Infiniti Q50/Q60 that will arrive in showrooms this fall. This new Infiniti sedan rides on an updated version of the FM platform that underpins the current Z. Nissan will most likely use aluminum and composite components in the next Z to keep weight down and speed up. The 2015 Nissan 370Z will most likely feature an evolved version of Nissan’s VQ V6 engine line up. Horsepower should be north of 350.
Nissan has slashed prices on the current generation 2014 370z line up by as much as $3000. This might be a move to get more buyers interested, or the shed excess inventory to make way for the next generation.
An army of spy photographers have their lenses peeled for signs of the 2015 Nissan 370Z, but so far no luck. The car is rumored to still be in final design phase. As soon as the test mules appear, Millionaire Car Club will have the photos up.
