Here we see some clear spy shots of what will be the new redesigned 2014 Chevy Tahoe and GMC Yukon.
You can be sure that the 2014 Chevy Tahoe, and it’s sister ship, the 2014 GMC Yukon will continue to be true trucks, meaning body on frame construction. We’ve seem some makes such as the new Nissan Pathfinder switch to the unibody route, but this won’t happen anytime soon to a full size General Motors SUV.
The 2014 Chevy Tahoe shows signs of a boldly styled grill up front with LED daytime running lights poking through its camouflage. There will likely be a strong family resemblance to the 2014 Chevy Impala and Chevy SS in the front fascia. Prominent tow hooks adorn a new front bumper and the presence of all around parking sensors are apparent on this test unit. One thing this Tahoe mule doesn’t clearly reveal, though, is the final headlight design.
The 2014 Tahoe will get a boxier rear with LED tail lights although not as radical as what has been seen on the 2014 Cadillac Escalade test mule. It looks as though the third brake light is integrated into the roof spoiler on this tester.
Little is known about engine options at the moment. Most likely the 2014 models will offer up an evolved version of GM’s 6.2-liter V-8, as well as well as a small V-8 in the 5.3 to 5.5 liter size range.
The 2014 Chevy Tahoe, 2014 GMC Yukon, and 2014 Cadillac Escalade will go into production late this year GM’s Arlington Truck Plant
